From your own homepage, vertical and audience, the Research Agent expands seed terms through Google Autocomplete and Bing Webmaster data into hundreds of real queries — then ranks them by whether there's an angle worth writing, not by a volume number it can't verify.
How topics are ranked
By whether you can say something new — then intent.
A big search volume on a keyword whose page one is already saturated isn't an opportunity — it's two rewrites and a rejected draft. So the Research Agent checks each candidate against the live search results and asks the same question the editorial gate asks: is there an angle here that page one doesn't already cover? Topics with an available angle rank first.
On search volume, the honest position: the free data source (Bing Webmaster) only reports volumes for a property we've verified — so for your own new topics it usually returns nothing, and we show no number rather than invent one. When a figure is available it's labelled with its source (bing). Real Google-style volumes require a paid keyword provider connected per site; without one, angle and intent carry the ranking.

Each candidate is checked against the live search results: is there an angle page one doesn't already cover? Topics with an available angle rank first, then commercial intent — because a keyword you can't say anything new about isn't an opportunity, however big its volume.

Search volume is shown as a column only when the data source provides it. On the free source (Bing Webmaster) it is not available for a client's own new topics, so ranking leads with angle and intent — never a fabricated number.
