How the quality gates work
The checks a draft has to get through
No adjectives, just the mechanism. Here's exactly what each gate measures, what blocks a post, and what happens when a draft doesn't pass.
Gate 1 — Distinctiveness
Scored against what already ranks
Every draft gets a number, not a vibe: how much it adds over the pages already ranking for its keyword.
- Scored 0–100 against the top-ranking pages for the target keyword and your own already-published posts
- The score must clear 60 to pass; below 60 the draft is reworked automatically
- This is our defence against Google's scaled-content-abuse policy — thin, interchangeable pages don't get through
- You see the exact score, the reasons behind it, and the closest existing pages on every post
- If distinctiveness can't be checked (no search results to compare against), the post is marked and can never auto-publish
Gate 2 — Fact-check
Every claim gets a verdict and a source
Factual claims aren't trusted — they're extracted and checked one by one, and the report ships with the draft.
- Each factual claim is pulled out and given a verdict: supported, needs a source, unsupported, contradicted, or uncertain
- Every verdict carries the sources it was checked against — you can click through and verify
- Any unsupported or contradicted claim blocks publishing; it's cut or flagged before you ever see the draft
- The full claim-by-claim report is attached to the post, not summarised away
Gate 3 — Numbers (finance topics)
Money figures re-checked by calculator
On finance topics, a quoted EMI, rate or payment figure is only as good as its arithmetic — so we recompute it.
- Loan, EMI, interest and payment figures are recomputed and compared to what the draft states
- A figure quoted under the wrong interest rate, or that fails a basic sanity check, fails the gate
- This runs on finance topics, where a wrong number is a real-world harm, not a typo
What happens when a draft doesn't pass
- 1A draft that misses a gate is sent back for a targeted rewrite — automatically, aimed at the specific reason it failed.
- 2It gets up to two rewrites. Most drafts clear the gates on the first pass; the rework is for the ones that don't.
- 3If it still can't pass after two rewrites, the run is logged as failed and your monthly quota is NOT charged for it — you only pay for posts that ship.
- 4The topic stays queued and is written again on the next scheduled run. You never receive a thin or unsourced draft dressed up as finished.
- 5If the failure is on our side — an API, credit or network problem, not your content — you see nothing about it; it's our problem to fix, and it retries automatically.
The last gate is you
Even a post that clears every automated gate waits in your dashboard until you approve it — you can edit it, request a rewrite, or reject it. Health, legal and financial topics can never auto-publish: that's enforced in the database, not just the interface.
