Connect Shopify

Publishing to your Shopify blog uses an Admin API access token from a custom app.

Exactly what we need

Your store URL (your .myshopify.com address or your live domain).
An Admin API access token from a custom app, with the write_content scope.

The important bit

The token is scoped to blog content only. It is not your Shopify password, and you can delete the custom app anytime to revoke it.

Click by click

1In Shopify admin, go to Settings → Apps and sales channels → Develop apps.
2Create an app named BloggerClinic, then under Configuration add the write_content Admin API scope.
3Install the app and copy the Admin API access token.
4In the Integrations step, choose Shopify and paste your store URL and that token.

What we do not get — and how to revoke it

We never see your Shopify login or your customers' or orders' data.
The write_content scope lets us publish blog articles — nothing to do with your store, products, or payments.
Uninstall or delete the custom app in Settings → Apps to revoke access instantly.

Where to paste it

In our dashboard: My sites → CMS credentials → choose Shopify, then paste your store URL and the access token, and click Verify & save.

What happens next

We connect to your store's blog and confirm it works. From then on, approved posts publish to that blog (as drafts unless you turn auto-publish on).

How your credentials are kept

Everything you paste is stored encrypted and only ever shown back to you as a masked hint. Nothing needs your main password, and you can revoke our access from your own account at any time — a rotated credential fails loudly in your dashboard, never silently.
